The Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI) Center, formerly named the Office of Diversity Education, works to promote diversity, inclusion, equity, and social justice initiatives on campus. Through the efforts of a campaign led by students in SU Planned Piratehood, SU Fed Up, and the Office of Diversity Education, all-gender restrooms were established on campus in 2015. View a map of all-gender restrooms.
The Captain’s Academy provides social and academic programs for first-generation students in their first year. Members can attend academic sessions designed to improve academic skills, create awareness of campus functionings and resources, and create a forum for sharing experiences and supporting one another. Cross-Cultural Center Library
The Cross-Cultural Center, located in Prothro Lounge 234, is home to the Diversity Resource Library. With more than 1,000 books, DVDs, and CDs, this library is an excellent resource open to all members of the Southwestern community. View our online library catalog.
