After Hours Crisis

A crisis is defined as:

  • Having thoughts of, or an intent to engage in, suicide, homicide, or self-harm
  • Being physically or sexually assaulted
  • Active psychotic symptoms (seeing or hearing things that are not there or severely distorted beliefs)
  • Severe reactions to psychiatric medication

If any of the above is happening and you need to talk to a counselor, they can be reached through Southwestern University Police (512) 863-1944, or the campus operator (512) 863-6511. If the crisis is life threatening, please call your local emergency services (911).
