The primary mission of the Southwestern University Center for Career & Professional Development is to empower Southwestern Pirates to shape their professional identities, develop 21st century career-readiness skills, and construct well-managed professional lives.
OUR TEAM
Our award-winning, experienced, and caring staff serve Southwestern students and alumni throughout the year. In addition to six professional staff, talented student staff plus some cranially-challenged mascots are here to help.
LOCATION
The Center for Career & Professional Development is located in Ste. 140 of the Prothro Center for Lifelong Learning on University Avenue/Highway 29. Exit 261 from I-35 in Georgetown and travel east on University/Hwy. 29. The university is located between Maple Street and Southwestern Boulevard on your left.

HOURS/APPOINTMENT SCHEDULING
The Center for Career & Professional Development is open throughout the long session (except university holidays) Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. During the summer, the office closes from 12-1 p.m. Please stop by our office or call 512.863.1346 to schedule an appointment to meet with a career advisor. Drop-in advising is available weekly during the long session for resume/cover letter/statement review or short career advising questions.
