Every year, the faculty select the best student art works for exhibition in the annual Student Art Exhibition and place work regularly for public viewing in the main hallway of the Fine Arts building outside the theatre. Students jury their own exhibitions and offer receptions in the Korouva Milk Bar on campus.

Art majors may also apply to exhibit their work in a senior exhibition in the S.U. Fine Arts Gallery as part of their culminating professional experience. Such exhibits offer students pre-professional experiences of a high caliber that many schools cannot offer students.
Art students are encouraged to enter juried competitions that are available to undergraduates, Some of the Southwestern students have competed successfully in professional national juried exhibitions.
