Spring Saturdays at Southwestern (on campus, open to all students)

Can’t make it to campus on a weekday? We’ve got you covered! These events are for any prospective student interested in Southwestern. The visit consists of an information session covering topics such as our unique Paideia curriculum, the application process, scholarships, and need-based financial aid, followed by a campus tour, focusing on different areas of campus life and academics. It’s time to celebrate your acceptance to Southwestern! At our Admitted Student Day programs, you will have a chance to learn about academic life, see our residence halls, meet our faculty & students, and have your last-moment questions answered. We can’t wait for you to join the Pirate Crew!

NOTE: For these events, there is a fee of $20 per family, which covers lunch for your entire party and a Southwestern t-shirt for the visiting student.

Junior Visit Day (on campus, intended for current high school juniors)

Kick off your college search at Southwestern, and get a glimpse of what it’s like to be a Southwestern Pirate!

Following a morning check-in, you will have the opportunity to tour campus, participate in panel discussions, meet your admission counselor, attend a luncheon, connect with faculty and current students, and explore the different student services and resources on campus.

NOTE: There is a reservation fee of $20 per family, which covers lunch for your entire party and a Southwestern t-shirt for the visiting student. Please be aware spaces are available on a first come, first served basis and typically fill about two weeks prior to the program date.

Scope Out Southwestern (virtual format, admitted students only)

On several evenings this spring semester, we invite all our accepted students (and their parents!) to engage with us as we drill down to the details in these one-hour virtual information sessions highlighting a particular aspect of the Southwestern Experience. Whether you’re a first-time visitor or you’ve engaged with us in the past, these dynamic, interactive sessions are a wonderful opportunity for all prospective students to engage with faculty, staff, and students from a variety of areas across campus. Join us for one event - or all of them!

Sprog Orientation (in-person events, deposited students only)

These events are exclusively for incoming students who have submitted their enrollment deposit to Southwestern. During your two-day on-campus experience (including an overnight stay in the residence halls), you will have the opportunity to cross off some very important to-do items as you get ready for the Southwestern Experience. Plan on joining us to learn about SU services and resources, meet other Pirates, register for your classes, and enjoy the best of Pirate life!

Your fee for this program is included in the orientation fee collected when you submitted your enrollment deposit. Note that there is an additional fee for additional parent/family guests. Click here for the schedule of events, times, and additional details regarding Sprog Orientation.

Attending Sprog Orientation is required for all incoming students. If you cannot attend any of the Sprog Orientation programs due to distance or unavoidable conflict, please submit this form, and a University representative will contact you to explore alternate options.
