Meade, Maryland	1998	I report for duty at the beginning of August and am very excited about my position as Chief of Customer Support, which is basically Human Resources. I will be supervising approximately 18 people from day one and I can't think of another entry level job where I would have had this opportunity. I plan on getting my Master's while in the D.C. area with 75% of the tuition paid for by the Air Force! I will be studying Vision Science. Initially I will be working on the role of color in motion pereption with Dr. Karen DeValois.
Fiala, Sam fialas@yahoo.com Graduate Student Texas A&M University College Station, TX	1999	I am in my first year of study in the Clinical Ph.D program at A&M. I look forward to working with Dr. Cavell on his child therapy research, specifically exploring the effectiveness of parent management training (PMT). I also look forward to getting married in June to fellow alumn Katie Hutka (who is attending medical school at A&M).	Feel free to email me; I'll likely be back in the Spring for Dr. G's panel discussion on graduate school. Work really hard in research methods (especially on your projects) and study for the GRE.

Subsequently, I reorganized my professional life as well; I left my job as a jury consultant for a large litigation oriented corporate firm to start my own business as a trial consultant. I am also an adjunct professor of law at the University of Houston Law School's Trial Advocacy Department. I like to take walks with the dog & baby, like to travel, and scuba and snow ski. Traphofner, Destiny riasa@bigfoot.com Social Services Specialist American Red Cross of Central Texas Austin, TX	1999	After 4 months of misery at an international insurance company I was blessed with a caseworker position at Red Cross here in Austin. My main responsibility is verifying and sending emergency messages from military families as well as assisting active and retired military personnel in applying for emergency financial assistance. I really like it, but I can't wait til I finish all the classes I need for disaster casework!	For anyone interested in in doing an internship in the Social Services Dept. with the Red Cross feel free to give me a call at (512) 928-4271. Ask for Destiny or my supervisor Alberto. There are also many ways that you can volunteer!

Williams Head, Lana djlsh@texas.net Background Investigator CounterTech Investigations Houston, Texas	1997	I recently got married in April 1999 to Daren Head of Houston (he is not an SU alumnus by the way)... we are living in Houston for now. I will be attending Sam Houston State in Fall 1999 for a masters in clinical psych. I am looking forward to school again-- aside from married life, school beats the real world any day!
