Gifts to the Annual Fund support the University's fundamental activities, enhancing our ability to offer additional scholarships to deserving students, supporting faculty in their research and other creative productions, improving the library's holdings and resources, and expanding the use of technology in the classrooms and laboratories.

For those wishing to contribute to the Campaign's objectives with current gifts and grants, opportunities are available to support students and faculty and enrich diversity without directing Campaign commitments to endowment or capital projects. Gifts to the General Campaign Fund will advance all priority initiatives including the administration of Thinking Ahead: The Southwestern Campaign. To remain competitive, Southwestern's future depends on increased levels of support and participation from its alumni and friends.

Deferred Gift Commitments     $10,000,000

Like the leaders and supporters who have gone before, you can choose to develop a philanthropic plan that will ensure a secure future for Southwestern and its students. Today, there are exciting and creative ways to leave a legacy to Southwestern and at the same time provide for family. By including the University in your estate and retirement planning you can diminish tax burdens while supporting students, faculty, programs, diversity and the living/learning environment at Texas' first institution of higher learning. Your plans may include naming Southwestern University as the beneficiary of a bequest, charitable gift annuity, charitable remainder trust, life insurance and IRA or 401(k) plan.
