2009Bridges, Breaks, and Super Nintendo
Last week for my Physics lab, we had to construct a bridge out of tooth picks and glue, and then break them during the lab. Building a bridge just out of toothpicks and glue was kind of hard and definitely time consuming. It took me a few days, but here’s the finished product:
The fun part was breaking them. We added weights to a bucket which was attached to the bridge via a weighting apparatus until the bridge would break. My bridge weighed 16 grams and was able to hold the weighing apparatus plus 4.5 kilograms!
This past weekend was Fall Break. Yes! It was a much needed time for catching up, going home, and SLEEPING! I mostly slept during the break but I was able to some work, eat Mexican food, and bring back warmer clothes as the weather changes. But most importantly, I brought back my Super Nintendo! Flashback from the nineties! Here’s a picture of my room mate and I playing Donkey Kong.
Southwestern Safari
Since I went home during fall break, I thought it would be suiting to add some wildlife from home during this section of “Southwestern Safari”….
This is Doc…and my Dad’s legs. He is a ferocious form of wildlife that roams my home in search of lost food (the dog, not my Dad…well, sometimes both). He is hilarious (again, the dog, but both really).
