About Sigma Phi Lambda
Sigma Phi Lambda Belief Statement
Phi Lamb has adopted the Apostles Creed as its statement of beliefs:
I
believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth. I
believe in Jesus Christ His only son our Lord. He was conceived by the
power of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He suffered under
Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried. He went down to the
dead. On the third day He rose again. He ascended into heaven and is
seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again to judge the
living and the dead. I believe in the holy catholic church, the
communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the
body, and the life everlasting. *The word catholic is used in this
context to mean universal.
"May the God
who gives endurance and encouragement give you a spirit of unity among
yourselves as you follow Christ Jesus, so that with one heart and mouth
you can glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ." Romans
15:5-6
The Lamb
"Know that the Lord is God. It is He, who made us, and we are His; we are His people, the sheep of His pasture." Psalms 100:3
