SOUTHWESTERN LOSES ANOTHER CLOSE GAME AT NATIONALS [5/17/07] - By the time the third day arrived, the Bucs were starting to feel the aches and pains of not having played in over a month and then forcing themselves into action. The Bucs, however, were very excited to play the #9 Western Washington Vikings, who, frankly had no idea who we were, and didn't really seem to care.
SKYHAWKS OUTLAST THE BUCS [5/16/07] - After a game under their feet, the Bucs rose the next day for the all too familiar early consolation game on the nice small stadium field next to the Big Pizza Hut Park against the #8 Ft. Lewis Skyhawks, yet another team from the tough RMLC.
SOUTHWESTERN RUNS OUT OF GAS AT NATIONALS [5/15/07] - For the third straight year, the Bucs found out they were going to the big dance. for the first time, however, it was as much as a surprise to the Bucs as anyone else. Three weeks prior to the end of the season and Nationals, the Bucs had no realistic chance of making the trip to Frisco. Having lost their AQ after several LSA teams dropped out of the league, the Bucs were solely dependent on one of several at large bids that would be given at the end of the year. With 5 teams form the RMLC in the top 11, the Bucs knew their season was just about over.
SOUTHWESTERN SECURES TICKET TO CHAMPIONSHIP GAME WITH 7-1 WIN [4/14/07] - On Saturday, April 14th, the Bucs played one of its biggest rivals the past couple of years in the St. Edward's Hilltoppers. Whoever was to win this game, would secure the #1 seed in the Div. B playoffs and would also get a bye into the Championship game on Sunday, April 29th at SMU.
SOUTHWESTERN LOSES TOUGH GAME TO #6 HARDING AT HOME [3/31/07] - On Saturday, March 31st, Southwestern hosted the Harding Bison, the #6 team in the nation out of the GRLC Conference. The Bucs, with the loss of the Automatic Qualifier, knew that to have any chance at making it to the National Tournament in Dallas this year, they had to win.
BUCS WIN 6-4 AND GO 2-1 ON OUT OF CONFERENCE ROAD TRIP [3/10/07] - As the sun rose on Saturday, so did the temperature outside and on the field. The Bucs awoke knowing that Carnegie Mellon had dismantled Augustana the night before with a convincing 15-6 win.
BUCS DROP TOUGH ONE TO #2 IN THE NATION 11-2 [3/9/07] - After a stellar win the night before against Augustana, the Bucs woke up knowing they were going to play one of the best teams in the nation, in St. John's that evening.
SOUTHWESTERN WINS HUGE OOC GAME AGAINST #12 IN NATION, AUGUSTANA [3/8/07] - Ever since Southwestern started showing up on the fringe of the national spotlight in Div. B the past couple of years, they have become a better team each year, reloading and gaining more and more experience against teams that play high caliber lacrosse at a national level.
SOUTHWESTERN VS. AUSTIN COLLEGE [3/4/07] - On the first weekend of March, the Bucs got up at 6a.m. and made the long drive to Sherman, Texas for a game against conference foe, Austin College.
SOUTHWESTERN VS. BAYLOR [2/18/07] - On Sunday of Family weekend, the Bucs hosted Div. A opponent Baylor, a team that the Bucs had beaten last year 9-2.
SOUTHWESTERN VS. UTSA [2/17/07] - In its first home conference game of the year, the Bucs hosted the UTSA Roadrunners from San Antonio. UTSA has been in and out of the league the past few years but always played very hard, and almost always giving the Bucs a hard fought game.
SOUTHWESTERN WINS FIRST CONFERENCE GAME OF YEAR [2/10/07] - On Saturday, February 10th, the Bucs got up early (a little early by some accounts) and made the trek to Fort Worth to play TCU, a Div. A team playing in Division B for the third straight year.
SOUTHWESTERN OPENS '07 CAMPAIGN WITH RARE HOME LOSS [1/28/07] - The Bucs, fresh off their best season ever, opened up 2007 with a disappointing loss to the Texas State Bobcats.
SU AND THE ALUMS WIN ON A GREAT DAY FOR LACROSSE! [11/7/06] - While the score will show that the current SU Lacrosse team prevailed in the final box score, all that showed up to play on Saturday were winners.
SOUTHWESTERN WINS THE DIV. B OF THE 27TH A&M FALL CLASSIC [10/29/06] - Southwestern travelled down to A&M on Saturday for the Annual Fall Classic. The weather was beautiful and the starting time was even better - noon.
SOUTHWESTERN TAKES A&M TO THE BRINK [10/29/06] - ince the brackets were off this year with odd numbers of teams participating, Southwestern needed to pick up an extra game while at the tournament. The hosts, Texas A&M, decided to play a crossover game against the Bucs on Saturday afternoon.
