SOUTHWESTERN BOWS OUT OF NATIONAL TOURNAMENT IN QUARTERFINAL LOSS TO GVSU 23-13
[5/14/08] The score did not do the game justice. There are blowouts, and there are games, like this one, where a team has superior individual talent and depth, and is simply "that good". This was one of those games.
SOUTHWESTERN UPSETS #7 FT. LEWIS AT NATIONALS TO ADVANCE TO THE QUARTERFINALS!!!!!!
[5/13/08] Southwestern has been to the MCLA National tournament every year since its inception in 2005. Every year the team has been discarded in the first round. In fact, over the years and games at Nationals,the Bucs have managed only one win in a consolation game a couple of years ago.
SOUTHWESTERN WINS FOURTH STRAIGHT LSA D2 CHAMPIONSHIP 9-5
[5/3/08] On Saturday, May 3rd, the Bucs made the short trip back to Texas Stadium for the LSA D2 Championship game against St. Ed's. The Bucs have never lost a game when making it to the Championships and were out to prove that this year would be no different.
SOUTHWESTERN CLICKING ON ALL CYLINDERS IN 27-3 LSA SEMI FINAL WIN
[5/2/08] - Southwestern arrive in the parking lot at SU early Friday morning to make the trip to Texas Stadium for a first round match up in the playoffs against fellow LSA D2 opponent UTA.
SOUTHWESTERN POSTS 21-4 WIN AGAINST THE TIGERS IN LAST GAME OF REGULAR SEASON
[4/20/08] - Southwestern hosted the Trinity Tigers on Sunday in what would be the last home game ever for Cole, Jake, Lockwood, JMO, Lane, and Bryson. The game, originally scheduled for the weekend before, was rescheduled due to a conflict Trinity had. The Bucs came out knowing that the #1 seed in the playoffs was on the line and that their unblemished 22-0 record over the past 4 years was on the line in conference games.
SOUTHWESTERN LOSES HEARTBREAKER 7-6 AGAINST TSU AGAIN!
[4/12/08] - Southwestern and Texas State have been playing each other long before Texas State was aptly named. To say these teams were familiar with each other is an understatement. While Texas State has moved up to Div. 1 in the LSA, and Southwestern has stayed where it belongs in D2, both teams have continued this healthy rivalry the past few years.
SOUTHWESTERN UNABLE TO GET OVER THE HUMP AGAINST HARDING IN 16-10 LOSS
[4/5/08] - After a wonderful night at Hendrix, in which the Bucs definitely built momentum, they made the short hour drive to Searcy to play a familiar opponent in the Harding Bison. Harding has been a national powerhouse the past few years, and because of the proximity between both schools, has been a relatively easy out of conference game to schedule for both teams.
SOUTHWESTERN PLAYS HISTORIC GAME AGAINST FELLOW SCAC OPPONENT HENDRIX COLLEGE IN 9-8 LOSS
[4/4/08] - On Friday, April 4th, Southwestern made the 9 hour trip into Arkansas to play traditional SCAC opponent Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas. This time however, was the first time that both teams played in lacrosse. Hendrix is celebrating its inaugural year as a DII Varsity lacrosse team, and agreed to play the Southwestern Club team in an exhibition game on their last home game of the season.
SOUTHWESTERN WINS TOUGH CONTEST AGAINST ST. ED'S 11-1
[3/30/08] - In a match up between the two undefeated teams in the LSA D2, both Southwestern and St. Ed's took the field at 4-0 in a battle for outright first place and possibly the #1 seed in the playoffs next month.
BUCS MOVE TO 4-0 IN CONFERENCE WITH 19-1 WIN AGAINST THE KANGAROOS
[3/8/08] - In their last home game until the last game of the regular season, and before the long Spring Break, the Bucs hosted the Austin College Kangaroos on Saturday on yet another beautiful day for lacrosse.
BUCS MOVE TO 3-0 IN CONFERENCE WITH 25-3 WIN OVER THE LUMBERJACKS
[3/1/08] - The Bucs hosted the SFA Lumberjacks on Saturday in front of a big crowd that came out for Lacrosse Bash 2008. Both the men's and women's teams hosted games and made a day out of it, with free hamburgers and hotdogs, sponsored by Kappa Chi. Special thanks to Nick Alter for leading the food brigade all day, as well as to all those that helped to make the day a success.
SOUTHWESTERN HOSTS THE #1 TEAM IN THE NATION IN 9-5 LOSS
[2/26/08] - On Tuesday night, the Bucs hosted the Westminster Griffins from Salt Lake City, Utah in Georgetown under the lights. Westminster new to the league last year showed very quickly it was one of the premiere teams in Division, losing to the eventual National Champions in the semifinals by one, and earning the #1 ranking in the national poll this year.
TECH ROLLS AND SU FLAT AS A PANCAKE IN 13-2 LOSS
[2/23/08] - On Saturday the Bucs hosted the young and talented Texas Tech squad, a team they haven't played in over 5 years. Tech was looking for its first win after a close loss the night before against Texas and a loss in the season opener against high powered A&M.
BUCS MOVE TO 2-0 IN CONFERENCE IN 25-3 WIN OVER SHSU
[2/16/08] - It was a cold and rainy day as the Bucs donned their new black jerseys for the first time at home. Their opponent, not just Sam Houston State University, but themselves, as they struggled to find a balance, and identitiy, and honestly, some warmth amidst the weather.
BUCS ROLL IN FIRST HOME GAME OF SEASON 20-3 AGAINST THE UTA MAVERICKS
[2/10/08] - The Bucs opened the first of what would be several home games in a row on Sunday on a beautiful day that was easily in the mid 70's at game time.

[2/8/08] - After a tough loss the week before to LSA D1 Baylor, the Bucs travelled the short distance to Austin to take on the Texas Longhorns, the first time these two teams have matched up in over 5 years.
BUCS LOSE SEASON OPENER IN WACO TO BAYLOR 11-5
[2/2/08] - The Bucs travelled to Waco on Friday night to kick off the much anticipated 2008 season, and donned their new black jerseys for the first time as well. After losing to Baylor last year at home, the Bucs knew this would be a tough battle from the beginning.
SOUTHWESTERN FINDS ITS STRIDE AT A&M TOURNEY
[11/5/07] - The Bucs, after making the decision to forego their own Homecoming and Alumni weekend, made the trip to College Station with two goals in mind.
