Our annual philanthropy event is the Mocktails Competition, a campus wide fundraiser for the Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC). Each year since the first competition in Spring 2011 we have raised over $1000 for RMHC. We invite students (and ADPi alumnae!) to create non-alcoholic drinks, in teams of five, under the central theme of the event. Some past themes have been, Sports of All Sorts, Mockails in Space and Vacation Destinations Around the World. Each group sets up a booth with decorations and costumes, and gives out samples of their drink for other students to taste. A panel of judges comprised of faculty members and ADPi alumnae sample the drinks and award points. Four prizes are given out, including the "Best In Show" cup for the best overall team. The event is always a huge success and has helped us raise over $1,000 a year to donate to RMHC.

Local businesses sponsor the awards for Best in Show, Most Creative, Best Theme, and Most Spirited. Proceeds from each team's entrance fee plus audience ticket sales are donated to our local Ronald McDonald Houses in Austin and Temple.
