Mission
to provide students who are interested in horses with the opportunity to
further their horsmanship and sportsmanship through participation in activities
such as community service, recreational riding, and competition riding.
From the Pres...
Thank you so much for expressing an interest in the Southwestern University
Equestrian program.
We are a fairly new program to Southwestern, and are looking forward to
adding more activities as we grow. The Equestrian program consists of a club
and a team that shows under the IHSA league.
You do not need to be part of the team or even know how to ride a horse
to be in the club. Just have a love for horses and you will fit right in!
This year the club is looking forward to Derby and Eventing parties, volunteering
at the therapeutic riding center, ROCK, and possibly attending some rodeos
and trail rides.
