The word "Panhellenic" is a Greek word, meaning "all Greek," and is an organization comprised of all Greek Women. As soon as a woman becomes a new member in any of the four sororities, she also becomes a member of the Southwestern Panhellenic Association.
The governing body of the Association is the Panhellenic Council which is composed of a senior representative, along with a junior delegate from each sorority. This Council meets to make decisions regarding major policies and programs. The Council conducts the recruitment program and is responsible for coordinating the dates and rules for Panhellenic Recruitment.
