The Office of Diversity
Education student peer diversity
educators, Bridge Builders,
serve as a student committee devoted
to improving multicultural
awareness and promoting respect for
diversity on the Southwestern
University campus. The Office of
Diversity Education
uses peer facilitators to present workshops,
retreats and facilitate
discussion groups to achieve these
objectives. The
peer diversity educators participate in extensive
and intensive training
on issues of diversity to prepare them for
their roles in the
Diversity Education program. Additionally, they
participate in weekly
meetings to work on retreats, workshops,
and continuing education.
Challenge yourself to
explore new opportunities for involvement
with groups and events
other than those you usually would
participate in, and
invite Bridge Builders to do a workshop for
your organization or
