First, you must learn about both your own values, skills, interests and personality as well as the many occupations that exist in the world of work. Experience
- Next, you must get experience (through internships, volunteerism, leadership roles and part-time jobs) to “test the fit” of different occupations and develop marketable skills employers seek. Engage
- Finally, effectively search for a job or apply to graduate or professional school by setting target goals, researching opportunities and marketing yourself. Learn resume writing, interviewing, networking, etiquette and more. Make the transition to the world after SU!

Southwestern University Career Services ranks in the Top 10 Nationwide for
the Best Career /Job Placement Services, according to The Princeton Review’s 2008 Best 366 Colleges
