Jacqueline V. Ridder

The Young Texas Harp Ensemble announces the appointment of a new Co-Musical Director, Jacquelyn Venter Ridder. Ms. Ridder is the principal harpist of the Waterloo/Cedar Falls Symphony and has been a featured soloist at the Gallagher Bluedorn Performing Arts Center. She has also performed with the Cedar Rapids Symphony, the Dubuque Symphony Orchestra, South East Iowa Symphony Orchestra, and the Central Iowa Symphony. Ms. Venter Ridder graduated with Harp Performance majors from Oberlin Conservatory (bachelor’s degree) and UNI (master’s degree). She formerly taught at Luther College and the University of Northern Iowa Suzuki School, and now is a Doctoral Candidate at the Butler School of Music and the harp instructor for the UT String Project.
