leave fume hood on at all times
lab doors must be kept closed at all times
all windows must be kept closed at all times [including offices]
do not use fume hood to store chemicals
keep sash near closed position when not in use
keep the back baffle area clear by 3 - 4 at all times
conduct work at least 6 inside fume hood sash line
keep sash at specified height when working in hood but no more than 16 - 18 open
keep all large objects raised 1.5 off the deck
