The Office of Religious Life offers a variety of ways that Southwestern students may experience serving others.
During the Fall orientation period we host an event called Care Fair. Volunteer agencies from the Georgetown area are invited to join us on the academic mall to respond to interest in volunteering in the community. Sutdents may plan a onetime volunteer experience, or develop ongoing service opportunities.
We offer an alternative Spring Break experience called Destination: Service, with trips throughout the United States. The trips are designed so that Southwestern students may experience serving others in a spirit of care, concern, and openness to learning in a context that is different from SU and that of central Texas.
