Destination Service

Destination: Service is Southwestern's Spring Break volunteer service program. Students volunteer over Spring Break to help make the world a more livable place for others. Students volunteer to build new homes, repair homes, work in the National Parks and volunteer with urban social programs and ministries, joining other volunteers in their effort. Destination: Service celebrated 13 years of service in 2008.

The student Destination: Service Planning Team meets year round to design our trips. This year's trips include sites in the Gila National Wilderness, Glide Memorial United Methodist Church and the Mary Elizabeth Inn in San Francisco, Martha O'Bryan Center in Nashville, Tennessee,  Cornerstone in Nuevo Progreso, Mexico, and Tierra Madre just outside of El Paso.

Applications for Destination: Service 2009 will be available in November of the fall semester.  For more information on this year's trips and photos of previous trips, visit the Destination Service web site
