     Hello from deep in the catacombs of ITS. I hope your summer is 
going well (hard to believe it is more than half over). I know the last 
thing you want to hear about is starting school, but I wanted to give 
you a head's up on RCC training.

    I have some dates to give you. Training will start Wednesday, August 
13th at 9:30 am (meet in ITS).  You can go by ResLife (3rd floor 
McCombs) and pick up your room key starting Monday, August 11th. If you 
need to move in over the weekend (the 9th & 10th), let me know and we 
will pick up the keys for you. I have contacted Reslife about the early 
move-ins.

    Training will last Wednesday through Friday (Aug. 13th-15th). 
Starting Wednesday, you will be paid for your training time and ITS will 
pay for your meals. We also will have a fun evening out on the town 
(date and event to be decided the week of training). That Saturday 
morning (the 16th), you will assist ITS during the First Year 
walk-through in McCombs. The following Monday -Friday (August 18th-22nd) 
you will be working with ITS (everything from helping new students 
connect to the network to getting the labs ready for the new year). Then 
school starts, and you will begin your regular ITS office hours (you can 
sign up for these during the week of training).

    We will cover quite a bit in training, but we will also do a lot of 
on-the-job training. We also like to have a lot of fun in our 
department, as long as we get the job done. So plan to come to training 
ready to learn, have fun, and work hard.
