At the edge of the Texas Hill Country, Southwestern University is located near the heart of historic Georgetown. Quaint shops, interesting architecture, a unique candle factory, Lake Georgetown, an underground cavern, the Chisholm Trail, an old-fashioned "town square," and the San Gabriel River are just a few of the Georgetown area's most distinctive features.
From Interstate 35 take Exit #261 (Texas Highway 29). Follow Highway 29 east (University Avenue) into Georgetown, approximately 1.3 miles. Turn left at Maple, the first street beyond the train tracks. Visitor parking is available along the west side of the Cullen Building and in the parking lot on the north side of the building.
