Worship, prayer, meditation and music are offered regularly on campus as opportunities to de-stress, find community and grow in faith.
The Lois Perkins Chapel is open 8am to midnight during the school semester for prayer and meditation. The adjacent Chapel Lounge and Garden are designed for spiritual reflection and small group discussion.
University Chapel Services for students, faculty and staff are held each Thursday morning from 11:30am - 12:15pm during the academic year.
These services, led by the University Chaplain, student assistants and musicians, and the chapel organist provide sacred space to consider and grow in faith.
Tuesday Night Worship is held each Tuesday evening from 9pm - 10pm during the semester. These are times of informal worship with the leadership of a contemporary Christian band. They create space for students to catch up with themselves and God in fellowship with others.
Student organizations and University departments may reserve the Chapel for gatherings directly through the University Relations website or by call the Office of Spiritual and Religious Life at ext. 1527.
There are a variety of special services marking the academic year including Orientation, Homecoming and Baccalaureate. The Advent Candlelight Service of Lessons and Carols, featuring the University Chorale, attracts participants from the greater Georgetown area as well as the on campus community. Other seasonal services include All Saints, Ash Wednesday and Holy Week.
