Kayak the Upper Guadalupe River
Saturday, April 20th

Info:Plan on a
day of whitewater excitement as we head to the scenic
upper Guadalupe River for some kayaking. We
welcome beginners and experienced paddlers alike. Participants
will receive instruction in river safety, river reading,
and basic kayak handling. We will provide sit-on-top
kayaks, paddles, lifejackets, dry bags, and river guides.
Note: If the Guadalupe River does not have enough water (or
has too much) to conduct this trip, we will plan to run a
similar, somewhat shorter, trip down the San Marcos River
instead
Cost: $25 -fee covers transportation, at least 2 meals, equipment, instruction, and a whole lot of fun!!! Note: Once you are registered, SIRA will only return your registration fee if another student fills your spot.
Plan: We will have a mandatory PRE-TRIP MEETING Tues, April 16th @ 12:30pm in CJR 240 where we’ll discuss trip details and complete mandatory forms.
On Saturday, April 20th we will meet behind the Robertson Center at 7am and you can plan to be back to SU by about 8pm that evening.
