Argentine Tango Class
Argentine tango is a social dance that evolved in Buenos Aires, Argentina and is renowned for its beauty, subtlety, and sensuality. It is danced in a spectrum of styles and embraces from close (upper torso connection) to open (connection through the arms). In class we will explore the various connections and embraces as you learn proper technique of movement, how to establish a solid connection with your partner, and a sense of musicality with the dance. Combined with a few simple steps and a little practice you will learn to dance Argentine tango beautifully and comfortably.
No experience or dance partner is necessary since we rotate partners. Comfortable shoes that won't fall off (e.g. no flip-flops) and shoes that won't grip the floor (e.g. no running shoes) are recommended.

Pilates Class
Pilates utilizes fluid movement elongating the muscles while strengthening the muscles. Pilates is a system of physical conditioning developed by Joseph H. Pilates in the early 1900's. The exercises emphasize the core muscles of the abdomen, gluteus and back. The Pilates system brings about muscle balance and spinal alignment, which improves posture and body mechanics, and builds strength throughout the entire body.

Ultimate Fitness
Ultimate Fitness will work through every aspect of physical conditioning. This class will feature agility training, core stability, functional training, speed and explosive movement training, balance training and more. We will utilize a variety of modalities in order to work through all areas of human movement and push the body towards its Ultimate Fitness level!

Yoga Class
Nurture and energize the entire self through the fusion of dynamic poses, breath work and deep relaxation. The practice of yoga encourages greater flexibility, strength, balance, self-awareness and tranquility. Participants of all levels are welcome to attend. Feel free to bring your own mat, if you wish, or use a mat provided by SIRA.
Classes are offered Monday through Thursday from 5:15-6:15pm and
Fridays from 3:30-4:30pm

Zumba®
The Zumba® program fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy-to-follow moves to create a one-of-a-kind fitness program that will blow you away. Zumba® Fanatics achieve long-term benefits while experiencing an absolute blast in one exciting hour of calorie-burning, body-energizing, awe-inspiring movements meant to engage and captivate for life!
The routines feature interval training sessions where fast and slow rhythms and resistance training are combined to tone and sculpt your body while burning fat. Add some Latin flavor and international zest into the mix and you've got a Zumba® class! Recently, Zumba® has spread like wildfire, and it is positioning itself as an innovative, influential movement in the industry of fitness.
Classes are offered Sundays 6:00-7:00pm, Wednesdays 8:00-9:00pm
in the CJR Aerobics Room,
as well as 12:15-1:00pm on Tuesdays and Fridays in the
