Charline Hamblin McCombs Center

McCombs Residental Center is an upperclass coed hall located on the west side of campus. McCombs is apartment-style housing where 2 students share a bedroom and bathroom while sharing a common living area with 2 other roomates. McCombs houses 180 residents and 4 student staff members in apartment-style housing.

The university provides each resident in the McCombs Residential Center with:
  • An extra long twin bed (85”x38”)
  • A desk (38”x24”)
  • A desk chair (22”x20”)
  • A dresser (30”x24”)
  • A side table (shared by roommates) (24”x24”)
  • A couch (shared by roommates) (82”x36”)
  • A coffeetable (shared by roommates) (48”x20”)
  • An overstuffed chair (shared by roommates) (36”x36”)
  • Each apartment comes fully furnished and includes a kitchenette with a microfridge and a sink.

Dedicated in 2001, the Charline Hamblin McCombs Residential Center is named for alumna Charline Hamblin McCombs, who, along with her spouse, Red McCombs, has been a longtime supporter of student scholarships and building initiatives at Southwestern.
