With varied living options—from traditional residence halls to apartments, both single gender and co-ed, throughout campus—and a central dining location, Southwestern offers a unique residential academic community to its students.
Campus Living
To assist in the transition to college and to enhance academic success, all new students who have fewer than four full semesters in college are required to live on-campus. While upperclass students may live on- or off-campus after their second year, the fact that 83% of our enrolled students live on-campus shows that most students choose to remain on-campus, even after their second year.
Peer Support
Student staff members — known as resident assistants — live in the residence halls and provide direct peer support to residents by encouraging community development and a positive academic environment.
