• Assist in locating funding sources from a wide range of government and private entities
• Work with you to develop strategies and approaches that are appropriate for the planned recipient of your proposal
• Coordinate proposals involving several departments or groups to address campus-wide needs or fund interdisciplinary projects
• Share previously compiled information on Southwestern and its students, faculty, facilities and programs - or develop new background materials as required by funding agencies
• Help with budget preparation
• Make sure your proposal is consistent with Southwestern's policies and mission
• Serve as a clearinghouse to make sure possible multiple proposals to a single funding source are coordinated
• Streamline proposal clearance by helping to obtain the necessary signatures and permissions
