Campus Recruiting

Thank you for considering Southwestern University students and graduates for your hiring needs. Career Services offers high-tech and high-touch service to customize your recruiting experience to your needs, whether you want to post a job or visit campus to conduct interviews or information sessions. Southwestern uses SU PirateLink, a web-based system which is part of the NACElink Network, as both a campus recruiting management system and an electronic bulletin board for almost all positions.

For more details about how an intern might be helpful to your organization or how to host an externship (job shadowing site visit) to your workplace for an individual or group of students, please read on.

Posting a job

Postings for full-time, part-time or internship positions targeted at SU students and graduates are free to employers. Employers must register with PirateLink the first time they access the system prior to posting. Postings typically require one business day for approval by Career Services before being activated. For a nominal fee, employers can choose to post jobs to students at multiple schools in the NACElink Network. For more information, visit PirateLink FAQs and the SU PirateLink Privacy Policy. On Campus Recruiting

Interviews: To set up on-campus interviews, employers will

  • Complete a recruiting information sheet (PDF) and return via fax or email. Please complete all parts of the Recruiting Information Sheet, indicating N/A if necessary. Incomplete forms will delay or impede recruitment opportunities. Thank you for your consideration!
  • Correspond with Career Services, who will contact you upon receipt of your form, to set up a date for your visit.
  • Register with SU PirateLink, where you will be able to access a resume book of candidates for screening prior to your interview date.

Information Table or Session: Employers who want to set up an information table or session in the Red and Charline McCombs Campus Center rather than conduct on-campus interviews should still contact Career Services. Also, please fill out an information table/session request form and fax or email it to Career Services.
