Exploring Careers
Making good career decisions starts with exploration - both internally (self-assessment) and externally (researching occupations).
Who are you right now? What are your work-related and personal values? What are your skills? Abilities? Interests? And how do these influence your career and job-related goals and choices?
Figuring out the answers to these questions takes time. Career Services encourages students to begin as early as their first year to begin thinking about life beyond college. Through individual advising and programs, students can assess themselves and research occupations (through books in the Resource Center, online and in programs featuring alumni and other presenters talking about their work).
