All returns are as of the end of the fiscal year, June 30, 2011.
Compounded annual rates of return for Southwestern University for the three, five and ten year periods were calculated from the annual returns reported in the NACUBO Endowment Study using the formula: {[(1+i) x (1+i2) ... x (1+in)] ^ 1/n} -1.
S & P 500 return rates were obtained from the June 30, 2011 Portfolio Analysis Report from Fayez Sarofim & Co.
