Destination: Service is a Spring Break program of service learning trips meant to help bring justice to the world through our service with others.
Nine Southwestern students spent their 2013 spring break on a service trip to Tucson. They volunteered at a local food bank, met refugees who have been resettled in Tucson by the United Nations Refugee Agency and went on a “Desert Walk” with a group that provides humanitarian assistance to immigrants.
Eight Southwestern students spent their spring break in 2013 helping a family outside New Orleans whose house had been ruined by a hurricane. They helped replace a floor, stained a deck and even washed the family dog.
