Steve Raben Steve Raben has extensive experience in executive recruiting and management assessment, having served corporate clients for over 40 years as a managing director for Russell Reynolds Associates, Korn/Ferry International, and Ray Berndtson International.  He has led the recruiting of chief executive officers, C-suite corporate executives, board directors, and vice presidents for leading U.S. and foreign national global petroleum producers, energy service companies, industrial equipment manufacturers, and private equity funded portfolio companies.  He currently consults with Preng & Associates, a leading executive search firm serving the global energy and power industries.  

Mr. Raben is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers and of the National Association of Corporate Directors.  He has been active in civic affairs in Houston, having served as a trustee of Episcopal High School, as a director of the Alley Theatre, and as president and a director of the Coronado Club.  He is a retired Army intelligence officer with decorated service in the U.S. and Vietnam.  Mr. Raben is a Knight Commander of the International Order of St. Hubertus.

Steve received his bachelor of business administration degree in economics and general business from Southwestern in 1963 and completed graduate courses in economics at The University of Texas at Austin.  While attending Southwestern, he held leadership positions in Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity and chaired the University Honor Council.  From 2010 to 2012, Steve was the President of the Association of Southwestern University Alumni, which, in 2014, presented him with its Distinguished Southwestern Service Award.
