Southwestern University’s Department of Economics and Business seeks two full-time, tenure track business faculty to join an innovative department re-imagining undergraduate business education in a liberal arts environment. Successful candidates will demonstrate promise and commitment to imaginative teaching and meaningful scholarship. Our highest priority is for candidates with disciplinary expertise in strategic management, marketing or finance, as well as ability to create and teach inter disciplinary courses. All secondary fields will be considered. Industry experience and/or the ability to lead students in a Southwestern endowed investments program is a plus.
Southwestern emphasizes a teacher-scholar model and has multiple sources of funding to support faculty research, including research conducted in collaboration with students. We seek applicants excited about working in a student-centered, undergraduate liberal-arts setting, with its focus on engaged teaching and academic research, collaboration with departmental colleagues, participation in shared faculty governance, and active involvement in an institution-wide advancement of diversity, sustainability, and social justice.
