Southwestern University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Computer Science beginning August 2014.  Candidates must possess a PhD in Computer Science or a closely related field.  ABD candidates will be considered but degree must be completed by August 1, 2014. 

Successful applicants will demonstrate a commitment to pursuing excellence in teaching a broad range of computer science courses and a willingness to foster undergraduate research.  Ideal candidates will also share an interest in participating in interdisciplinary initiatives such as our First-Year Seminar and Paideia programs.  At Southwestern, teaching is the central criterion for faculty evaluation.  Faculty are also expected to maintain a research program that results in peer-reviewed professional achievement, actively participate in university service, and exhibit a dedication to equity and inclusiveness.
