Professor and Students in Stabiae
Summer 2013 archeology work in Stabiae with Dr. Howe and SU students
Thomas Howe, Professor of Art and Architecure, lead a six team archaeological team on the site of Stabiae between mid-may and mid-July. Teams came from University of Akron, Columbia, University of Maryland, Molise, the Hermiatage State Museum St. Petersburg and CyArk-Oakland.
Anwar Sounny-Slitine (instructor of environmental studies and GIS lab manager) and family visited in early June to explore possiblities for academic programs at a possible study abroad center at Stabia, and Howe included two students, Chandler Johnson and Katy Nave, in the advanced architectural recording team which he lead with students and alumni from the University of Maryland.
