Southwestern University invites applications for the position of Associate Director of Records and Degree Completion.  This position manages the degree completion process for all students, including degree planning, degree audits and graduation processing. The Associate Director also serves as the liaison to the faculty regarding curricular changes and process. This position assumes leadership for the Records Office in the absence of the Director.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:   leading and supervising staff in records/requirements functions; generating and updating degree plans for all students; meeting with students regarding degree requirements and academic progress; implementing and maintaining a degree audit system; managing all aspects of the graduation process, including preparing diplomas, graduation programs, and processing degrees; certifying VA benefit-eligible students each semester; communicating changes in degree requirements to students, faculty and advisers, and maintaining confidentiality and integrity of all registration-related records.

Qualifications:  Bachelor’s degree, three years of experience within a Registrar’s Office or similar environment, knowledge of university curricula and degree requirements, ability to interpret complex requirements, experience with degree audit processes/software system(s), knowledge of FERPA, and proven leadership skills.
