Southwestern University, located in Georgetown, has an immediate opening for a Senior Executive Secretary for its Vice President for Enrollment Services. This is a full-time, twelve-month position with full benefits.
This senior-level secretarial position provides executive administrative support to the Vice President for Enrollment Services, as well as support to the Enrollment Services Division’s management team in meeting divisional and institutional enrollment goals and objectives.
Primary duties: provide a high level of project coordination support; office budget administration; handle meeting and travel arrangements; complete executive reports; coordinate communication with various enrollment-related committees; provide written communication and file administration in support of the Director of Admission in the recruitment of readmitted students to Southwestern and performing general clerical duties.
Ideal candidates will possess the following position requirements: 10 or more years office/clerical experience; excellent command of computer applications, including word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint); outstanding spelling, grammar, punctuation, proofreading, and drafting skills; ability to work independently, but also in a team; ability to establish, maintain, and accurately file alphabetically and numerically; excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, including outstanding telephone etiquette, application of tact, diplomacy, sensitivity, and confidentiality; commitment to providing outstanding customer service; excellent organizational skills; ability to be flexible and adapt to ever-changing priorities in a fast-paced, high-pressure office environment. The person in this position must genuinely enjoy working with traditional college-age students and must have a demonstrated record of flexibility and willingness to serve and interact with all individuals (students, faculty, staff, and external constituencies) without regard to sex, race, color, religion, age, disability, national or ethnic origin, sexual orientation, or any other impermissible factor. Some college education is preferred.
