Southwestern University invites applications for an Admission and Recruitment Coordinator position   (2 positions). This is a full-time, year around position reporting to the Director of Admission. The Admission and Recruitment Coordinator will represent Southwestern University to students and families via electronic, telephone and written forms of communication in addition to college night presentations, information sessions and personal interviews.  Additional responsibilities include: reviewing and evaluating applications, interviewing students for admission and completing appropriate paperwork for such interviews.  The work typically encompasses a traditional work day, but nights, weekend and business-related travel are common.  In addition to the responsibilities listed above, the position will also include administrative responsibilities, to be determined by the Vice President and senior members of the admission staff based upon the candidate’s strengths and the needs of the organization. 

Minimum qualifications include:  a bachelor’s degree, preferably in liberal arts from an institution similar to Southwestern; excellent written and oral communication skills including an affable nature; ability to appreciate and articulate the benefits of a national, residential, liberal arts and sciences college with high academic standards.  A valid driver’s license and lifting boxes over 25 lbs is also required.
