“The Catalyst challenge course experience allowed me to connect with other leaders. Not only did we have a blast, but we also learned about team work and individual leadership.” - Kate Daniels, Class of 2015
Through the Office of Student Activities, Southwestern students have the opportunity to participate in “The Catalyst,” a year-long program which identifies, educates and empowers first-year and sophomore leaders on campus. Students learn leadership techniques, time management skills and delegation, and work on a civic engagement project to better campus and/or the Georgetown community.
By participating in The Catalyst, students are better able to serve as organization presidents, team captains, Resident Assistants and more. The program includes time spent at the Georgetown Challenge Course where these emerging student leaders work on communication and problem solving skills and how to be a supportive team member.
Your gift will enable more students to participate.
“Because of ‘The Catalyst’ I was introduced to more aspects of leadership and group dynamics than I had previously been aware of.” - Thuy Truong, Class of 2016
