Are you pre-law?  Interested in becoming a social worker?  Or maybe you simply want to work with Georgetown’s abused and/or neglected children?  Serve as a CASA - Court Appointed Special Advocate.

The CASA volunteer becomes a friend to the child, explaining what is happening, addressing the child’s fears, anger, and confusion. A CASA is a team member working in a collaborative effort with the Judges of Williamson County, the County Attorney’s office, Child Protective Services, Attorneys ad Litem, teachers, therapists and other professionals involved in the child’s case.

There are 580 children from Williamson County in the custody of the state of Texas.  CASA of Williamson County’s goal is to provide a CASA for every child who needs one.  They are currently serving approximately 80 children with over 50 CASA volunteers.

The next training session is JANUARY 15th.  If you cannot attend the upcoming class, please still contact our office, so that we can contact you about future trainings.
