Theatre Entertains Schools

The Theatre department performs A Year With Frog and Toad free for elementary schools.

Local elementary schools were invited to attend free performances of A Year With Frog and Toad in November. The Theatre department and the Paidea program worked with local schools to bring students on campus for these performances. All 5 shows were sold out with over 1,500 elementary students entertained. This production was directed by Southwestern University student Alexis Gette ‘13, who worked closely with Professor of Theatre Rick Roemer as Directing Supervisor. 

The Sarofim School of Fine Arts has been producing Theatre for Young Audiences since 2007. They have entertained over 8,000 youths on the Southwestern University campus. Previous productions include The Trial of Goldilocks, Seussical the Musical, The Yellow Boat, and Pinocchio
