Extraordinary Professor of Public Theology, Stellenbosch University, Rev. Dr. Boesak is a hero of South Africa’s anti-apartheid struggle as the founder of the United Democratic Front. A theologian in the Reformed tradition, Boesak is a powerful, eloquent and dynamic speaker.

 

Dr. Boesak will speak at Southwestern University on two occasions on Thursday with the overall theme of Seeking Justice in a Globalized World.

 

His first talk at 11:30 am will be at the largest venue in Lois Perkins Chapel. The title of that talk will be “Quietly Bringing Justice.”

 

At 4:00 pm that afternoon Dr. Boesak will speak in Mood-Bridwell Atrium and there will be a reception immediately following. The title of that talk will be, “‘The Glory that is not Steeped in Blood’: War and Peace in a Globalized World.”
