Karen Franta Love and Eric Love have created an endowment fund that will generate money annually for cancer research that involves Southwestern faculty and students.  For more information, please contact Justin Gould <gouldj@southwestern.edu>

Karen Franta Love and Eric Love started this endowed fund because of Karen’s love of Southwestern and their commitment to developing combined faculty and student initiatives in a liberal arts college environment. They also have a desire to support cancer research after Eric’s personal experience with the disease, and Karen’s work in healthcare. Karen is a graduate of the Class of 1986 who has a BS in Political Science and a Med in Higher Education Administration from the University of Vermont.  Her career spans college administration (including roles at SU) and corporate education/organizational effectiveness where she specializes in thinking skills. Eric holds a BA in English from The University of the South, an MA in Theatre from Texas State University, and a PhD in Theater from the University of Missouri. He is a theater professor at Tennessee Wesleyan College and specializes in new play development, including narrative performance about illness.
