Carpenter/Locksmith

Southwestern Universityhas an immediate opening for a full-time, benefited carpenter/locksmith with a minimum of five years experience in commercial construction. This position performs carpentry and locksmith duties in the construction, maintenance, and repair of campus facilities. Job #492.

Successful applicants will have knowledge of concrete and form-work, framing, cabinetry, door hardware, and general building maintenance; ability to install locks, re-key locks, and other related hardware; ability to read blue prints, estimate project costs, order and retrieve all materials needed for carpentry, concrete, and locksmith needs and perform other related duties as assigned. Job involves climbing ladders and scaffolding and occasional heavy lifting of objects weighing 50 lbs. A valid Texas driver’s license is required.
