I set out to construct a solar concentrator that would enable the collection of solar energy and manipulate it in such a way that it might be stored for later use. For this storage I would use a passive thermal battery that had been previously constructed.

At this point I have successfully constructed the solar collector; it has the ability to both reflect sun light on to a single focal point and track the sun as it progresses across the sky. I have also designed and constructed a piping configuration that will allow air from the battery to be cycled through the focal point of the collector, thus heating the air before returning it to the battery for thermal storage. After the numerous small scale tests, the solar concentrator is ready for large scale operational testing and installation.
