Summer bicycling race offers opportunity for Southwestern community to visit and explore Georgetown through volunteering
The Georgetown Grand is a two-day bicycling event held in downtown Georgetown from May 19-20. Presented by Holland Racing, the event features a variety of high speed races, as well as the recreational and non-competitive Grant Tour.
As a family friendly event inviting everyone from around the area, there will also be live music, kid’s races, tailgating, health and fitness expo, vendors, and the cans for cowbells fundraiser.
The Caring Place will be partnering with the Subaru of Georgetown Grand in this event, and they’re looking for a variety of volunteers to fill positions in all sorts of locations and venues. In addition to fundraising, there will also be a can food drive to benefit The Caring Place.
If you’d like to be a part of this great event, you can check out their website and see what opportunities are open. Just click on “Volunteer Detail” (under the “Enjoy It” header).
Each volunteer opportunity listed on the website has specific time slots and other details, and volunteers can sign up for as many spots as they can fit in. Participants will also receive a first-edition t-shirt for their service.
