Members of SEAK, Southwestern’s student environmental organization, dedicated a tree Jan. 19 in memory of Wangari Maathai, an environmentalist, women’s rights activist, and winner of the Nobel Peace prize who died last year. Maathai delivered Southwestern’s Shilling Lecture in 2009.
