Southwestern Baseball Team partners with Phi Delta Theta to raise funds for ALS.

Close to $2,000 dollars was raised for ALS—more commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease—at a recent fundraiser hosted by the Phi Delta Theta fraternity and the Southwestern Pirate baseball team.

More than 80 people attended the March 26 silent auction and dinner, including University President Jake Schrum and guests of honor George and Sally Sykes.

Held in the Howry Center on the Southwestern campus, the auction featured such items as autographed posters and baseballs from current Texas Ranger Josh Hamilton, former Houston Astro Craig Biggio, and National Baseball Hall of Fame member Nolan Ryan.
