Davidson graduated cum laude from Southwestern in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts in psychology and attended Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University where she received a Master of Divinity in 2010, magna cum laude.

Davidson’s career passion has been connecting with and advising college-age students in their personal, spiritual and educational pursuits.  Most recently, as the Executive Director for the TCU Wesley Foundation, she implemented and managed campus programs of worship, mission, discipleship and outreach and provided pastoral care and guidance to students. “This is a unique opportunity in which one of our own graduates returns to engage with students, faculty and staff. I’m confident that Megan’s faithfulness, openness, compassion, and nurturing and supportive nature will enrich our campus community in profound ways,” said Southwestern University President Edward Burger.

Consistent with the University’s enduring tradition, Davidson will also work with Southwestern students to plan and lead weekly Chapel programming in Lois Perkins Chapel every Thursday at 11:30 a.m. to welcome all to come together to be uplifted and enlightened.  These celebrations are open to the public.  “It is such a privilege to return to campus to serve God and the whole campus as the new Chaplain. I am particularly excited about working with energized students to bring new life to the spiritual community on campus. I am thrilled to be coming back home to start the next chapter in my Southwestern story,” said Davidson.

Davidson’s appointment is effective January 1, 2015.
